6MX marine chronometer was developed by the experts of The 1-st Moscow Watch
Factory in 1947 and meant for keeping of exact time in hours, minutes and
seconds on ships and vessels of all types. In 1949 The 1-st Moscow Watch
Factory started industrial production of 6MX marine chronometer that
continues nowadays. Since then 6MX marine chronometer was exported to
many counties such as Germany, Finland, Japan, Italy,
USA and other counties. 6MX marine chronometer is
exhibited in the Swiss Clock Museum in the city of Sho-de-Fon.
This chronometer is obligatory equipment in the Lloyd's Register.
The only other company in the world that produces similar
chronometer is "Zenith" in Switzerland.
6MX marine chronometer has unique manually assembled
mechanism with 15 ruby jewels and bearing balance jewel
from natural diamond. Chronometer is mounted in a wooden
case and a box made of special firm sort of wood lacquered
into the color of mahogany.
